Cooking Team Building Event
For thousands of years people have got to know one another over a meal; Fresh Tracks have taken this ancient truth and added some additional challenges inspired in part by popular TV shows such as Masterchef and Ready Steady Cook to offer a popular and versatile cooking team building activity.
Small teams must each design and prepare a single course to form part of a team banquet, within a limited time from a restricted range of ingredients and recipes. Tasks include:
- Decide on menu, taking account of dietary requirements
- Acquire ingredients
- Prepare food
- Cook a gourmet meal
- Set the tables
- Serve their team mates
- Enjoy dinner together!
Your team building cooking event includes food preparation and cooking, menu design, decoration, evening entertainment, judging other teams’ meals. This programme can be combined with a range of team tasks and challenges so that participants compete to win specific ingredients.
“What an excellent 2 days! I can honestly say I’ve really noticed how much closer the team have grown since the event. We now have get-togethers (coffee mornings) in the diary during work time, plus a plan for out-of-work events. There is a much stronger bond than existed before, however, I can see we need to keep working at it as the hectic pace took over again immediately. Oh, and I’ve also caught a cooking bug! Can’t stop cooking.”
