The purpose of facilitation is to add value to any team
event by examining specific issues that affect the team. We
also look at ways in which the group can build on existing
strengths and develop key team skills.
Before the event, one of our senior facilitators will contact
the team leader to discuss the aims and objectives of the
event. We will also get some background information on the
team and identify issues that could usefully be addressed
within the meeting, taking into account the objectives, timing,
location and activities that will be included.
We can also provide facilitators for clients' own internal
staff meetings, or arrange for one of our own programmes -
such as a full or half day of Team
Tasks, or The Chocolate
Challenge - to be run as a facilitated event. Sessions
can include psychometric tests such as Belbin
or the Strength Deployment
Inventory (SDI) to examine individual strengths and skills
and how these contribute to the team's success.
As an alternative to a facilitated meeting, you may want
to consider a diagnostic
session to help identify ways to move the team
forward and overcome any problems.
