What is Team Development?
The purpose of corporate team development is to add value to any team by examining specific issues that affect them. From 1 to 2 days or more our team development programmes will look at ways in which the group can build on existing strengths and develop key team skills.
Before the programme starts, one of our facilitators will contact the team leader to discuss the aims and objectives. We will also get some background information on the team and identify issues that could usefully be addressed within the meeting and specific team development tools that can be used. We will take into account the objectives, timing, location and activities that will be included.
"The
way in which the activities were integrated into the work based sessions
was excellent and made learning fun yet still very focused on achieving
key objectives"
Once one of our facilitators has discussed the objectives of the programme with the team leader we then create a bespoke team development programme. Below is an example of some of the specific team development tools that we use.
- Team Analysis Diagnostics: Our team analysis sessions aim to help individuals, teams and organisations identify effective ways of moving forward, developing the team and highlighting key areas of strength upon which to build. More >
- Belbin Team Roles: Belbin promotes and develops the team role theory and enables people to work with greater self-knowledge and understanding. More >
- Strength Deployment Inventory: SDI works as a self discovery tool to improve relationships within teams and organisations. By highlighting strengths across the team it can have an immediate and long lasting impact on improving the quality of these relationships. More >
