It’s unlikely that many of us will be able to justify taking our teams to the games but we should certainly seize the opportunity to replicate the behaviours of world class sports teams in our own work groups.
> Pursuit cyclists know that even if one rider crosses the line first their team might not win the race. Success requires team tactics as much as individual strength.
> Rowers know that the team is only as good as the weakest oarsman and so the weakest must be strong.
> On the track, the smart relay teams know that whilst only one of them can break the tape, they must all put their egos to one side and put team success ahead of personal glory.
