Case Study: Corporate Branding & Change Management Team Event

HSBC Merchant Services would be changing their name to Global Payments in line with their US parent company. The process was part of an internal campaign and a full day was set aside for a management team event for the whole company to get everyone involved, excited and motivated about the name change.

Feedback: “Thank you for your help with our Brand Day. Your team were highly efficient and everything ran perfectly on time and as we had hoped it would.”

Fresh Tracks was asked to develop a programme for this event, with content that reiterated the benefits of the name change and highlighted Global Payments’ mission and values. Above all it needed to be a fun activity that everyone would feel part of. This was a large scale programme with activities to run twice throughout the day, each time for over 200 participants….

Olympic Tickets Available – at a price

I received an email recently inviting me to buy Prestige Olympic Tickets. It was from a LOCOG accredited source and the tickets were genuine and amongst the best available. But, they come at a price, £7500 for the Opening Ceremony!

To help organisations perform like an Olympic team we've created the 2012 Office Games

It’s unlikely that many of us will be able to justify taking our teams to the games but we should certainly seize the opportunity to replicate the behaviours of world class sports teams in our own work groups….

Our new team building event – it’ll really get up your nose

This month it’s been hard to miss the highly polished and celebrity endorsed TV commercials for exotic perfumes.

Could your team make the next big celebrity endorsed perfume?

Scent forms a significant part of all our lives whether we wear perfume or not – our food, washing powders, cleaning products and even hotel lobbys are infused with odours designed to make us feel either calm or energised, happy or nostalgic.

Our latest team building event The Perfume Challenge is…

Large scale team building event – when co-operation is the name of the game

The very nature of team building activities encourages participants to co-operate with their team members to achieve success, but a lot of these activities rely on competition rather than co-operation.

The Team Machine, an energetic, large scale team building exercise requiring participants to co-operate with other teams to achieve a common goal

Messages about the importance of co-operation and communication across the whole organisation rather than just within a small team can therefore be missed. With this in mind Fresh Tracks developed a new large scale team building exercise a couple of years ago – The Team Machine – based on a construction exercise that many will recognise from their childhood….

Team Building For A Good Cause

With the number of disgraced companies rising every month – starting with Enron, then BP last year and now News International – the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda shows little sign of diminishing.  Added to this is the fact that increasing numbers of employees are saying that they are keen to ‘give something back’ and ‘make a difference’ through their work.

Experience the wonder of nature with your team

I have struggled, writes Michael McCarthy, for the Independent, to find a way of expressing my elation at seeing the first butterfly of the year. Have you seen yours?

For opportunities to experience the wonder of nature with your team

It was a brimstone, a bright yellow brimstone, he continues. Using science, and rationality, I can tell you quite a lot about it: that it was an insect; that it belonged to the butterfly family Pieridae, the whites… that in its caterpillar stage it had fed on the plants buckthorn or alder buckthorn; and that it had hibernated disguised as a leaf, probably in an ivy clump, until the first warm day in March woke it up….

Flip out in the office – A quick team building idea

Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday – Pancake Day to most of us. Give the sandwich man or lady a day off and make pancakes for lunch instead.

Run a quick team building exercise - make some pancakes for the team

You just need a camping stove, a pan, a bit of oil and some pancake mix. For about a dozen pancakes you’ll need:…
